Hi all, the sun is shining here in Gloucester but boy is it cold, I am posting this card then taking Jess out for a walk, I am hoping to do some more crafting today.
I made this card based on the colour theme challenge on Trimcraft's Forum, I have just entered it there so now it is my blog's turn.
I recently visited The Range here in Gloucester and found some stamps that had been reduced by the manager, it just happened to be the Gorjuss range of products that I was looking for, I got 5 stamps all at £2.99 each and some ribbon that had been reduced to £1.99.
This is the first stamp set, I used Versafine Onyx ink and stamped the frame I then stamped the Gorjuss girl and embossed her with clear embossing powder, I actually used 3 types of markers Copics, Graph it Markers and Chameleon pens. Once I stamped the frame I distressed the edges with Tim Holtz Peacock Ink. I cut the Gorjuss girl out and adhered her slightly raised into the middle of the frame.
The papers are from LOTV, I have added some ribbon, carnation and quite a few die cuts. I have had quite a selection of die cuts for some time but have never really enjoyed using them mainly because the Grand Calibur did not always cut them right, however, if you are one of my regulars you may remember that my GC broke a little while back, well I had saved a few pennies and treated myself to a Joy Traville and wow it is one awesome machine, I have used a few in my time but this is by far the best ever, it has renewed my interest in using my die cuts. The leaves, flowers and butterflies are the 3 sets that I won at Penny Black they are from Rob Adams All Occasion Dies selection. I had been so used to putting die cuts through my other machine several time so the dies would cut I was not prepared for the Joy cutting the first time, it is awesome.
Anyway here is the finished card.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
