Happy Fourth July

Hello to all I hope I am not to late to wish all our American friends a very happy Independence Day I am sure you are all enjoying the celebrations hope it is all going well.

I have posted two pictures today but not challenges the first picture I wanted to show is of one part of my garden where the Hydrangea and Acer tree are. The Hydrangea has such huge flower heads on and they look gorgeous and there are still loads to bloom. I love my red Acer tree and it is growing very nicely it is the first one I have ever had and this is its second year.

The second picture is a couple of goodie bags that I have made myself and is a first for me. A little while back I won some SU stamps from the Divine Diva challenge and boy they are great so I thought I would have ago and make these. I am thrilled with the finished product I have stamped the sentiment on and added a couple of my Elusive Images flowers that I stamped and cut out on co-ordinating card.

Now it is my birthday later this month and also I have exceeded the 20,000 hit button on my blog which is all down to you lovely people so I thought I would also do a bit of celebrating with some blog candy.

An example of some of the goodies that will be offered is the two bags above not these but similar. I will be taking a photo of all the things that will be included in the candy but I think it will be worth it. There will be a few bags of goodies plus some papers and card a couple of stamps including a Sarah Kay 'picnic' one which is brand new meaning it is still in the packaging and never been used. Ooooo and other goodies as well you will just have to wait and see.

Now I did a blog candy when I hit 10,000 and I noticed that there were some who entered the candy who are not crafters but do dedicated candy blogs so this time to make it more fair I have decided that this will be open only to my followers.

I will post a picture nearer the time of my birthday and the winner will be drawn by my tall handsome son on the date of my 21st (hehe I wish). Hugs to all

Peachy Keen-Sketch

Firstly may I thank you all for your lovely comments on my new blog look and for the tips on moving my elements in the sidebar. Well I always make sure I click the save button even after save lol I have tried moving one element at a time but it just won't have it. When I click on the element I want to move I can pick it up and move it about but the white box in the background won't move which means when I place the element where I want it to go it just jumps straight back to where it was or back to the top of the page grrrr. Never mind will have to see if someone at blogger can advise.

Ok when I was visiting Eiyiyi (Dropped Stitches) blog yesterday I noticed that the lovely card she had made was for a challenge blog I had never heard of called Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge. Well being a bit nosy I popped over to have a look and its a fab sketch and then I had a look at their shop oh boy my wishlist has just grown by another foot lol. I just love their 'Cheesy Heads' I will surely have some by the end of the month...just one or two lol.

Anyway I have followed the sketch and come up with this card the squares are actually acrylic and I have stamped each one with a stamp in Stazon then highlighted just some of the image with Sakura gelly roll pen. I attached them to the card then added the faux ribbon a sentiment and some flowers. I hope you like it hugs to all.

Hi this is just a very quick post but I will be back later I just wanted to ask if you like my second new banner from Lisa (I love it) and my new semi-customised background from Gracie. I have yet another semi-custom background to come with another new banner which will make three in all this means I can alternate when I want to. If you are a regular visitor to my blog then you will know that I am always changing the background and headers so much so it makes some of you giddy lol. Well you can rest assured that from now on I will only be using one of my three new banners and new backgrounds and I will be keeping my signature tag as well.

Just a question to see if anyone can help I am having trouble rearranging my sidebar elements. I click to drag as I have always done but they will not go where I want them I have even tried deleting some of the pictures and things just in case I had to many but even that has not helped. When I click to move something down the page it just reverts back to where it was and this has been happening for a few weeks now so has nothing to do with my new look any help would be more than welcome.

Two cards this morning

Morning all well I finally got to bed at 7.00am was up again before 9.00am so I may not be around for the rest of the day as I am going to try and get myself together lol. I decided to post two cards in one post this morning the first is for two challenges Cute Card Thursday themed 'Wheely Good Fun' and Stamp With Fun the theme being a colour combo of 'Turquoise and brown' I have used two H & S images the backing papers are Bearlymine and I added some flowers. The second card is for Cute Daisy May Challenge titled 'As You Like It'. For this one I used the background image of the well and decided to punch out Daisy May as a sort of cameo, all coloured with promarkers but I added flower soft to the flowers by the well. I hope you like both my efforts hugs to all.

A Thank You

I hope you have noticed my new signature tag with was given to me by the lovely Bethanne at Sweet Tea and Pickles. I was thrilled to bits when I received it I have been totally spoilt these last few days and I am still recovering from the overwhelming kindness that has been shown me. Hugs to all

Hi all well it is 4.45am and I am still up and blogging it is just getting light the dog is sound asleep as is my son but here I am wide awake lol......however, I am posting this card then going to see if I can get a couple of hours shut eye after I have had a cuppa.

This is my entry for this weeks Midnight Madness Challenge No7 I really hope I am not to late to enter as I missed last week's and I do so love these sketches. I decided to be a bit different this time and used my Elusive Images flowers added some leaves and instead of gems put some cute little handmade silk roses in the top corner. The large backing paper is Bearlymine the strips are from my stash. The flowers I stamped with Tim Holtz Mahogany ink onto cream card which I had distressed with Tim Holtz Old Paper ink then used my water brush to do a bit of blending and also added a little of tattered rose distressed ink. I hope it os ok hugs to all.

Spring Fever and lots of Bling

As promised in my earlier post this is one of the new Pixie Faeries available from Charmed Cards it is a digi stamp and they come in a pack, you get so much for your money its great. I am using this card for two challenges the first is Flutter By Wednesday which is Spring Fever and the second is Stamp Something which requires the use of as many embellishments as you like...wow. This is the 'forget-me-not' pixie faerie and I have coloured her accordingly with promarkers. I was sent some gorgeous SU papers from my friend Stef aka Glitterbabe and this paper was meant for this faerie I have a Forget Me Knot Flower Fairy stamp which came with the flower name as well which was also very handy for this card. I stamped it in Versafine Onyx Black onto a lovely bright green card. I added a silk butterfly and coloured some white Flora Doodles in the same colour as the flowers and they all have gems in the middle I also added some more gems down the one side and some pressed leaves I hope you like it hugs to all will be back later.

Just Magnolia sketch

Well this is the second card I have made for posting today, please check out the first one below, I am really happy with this one I think I may have got it right lol. This is my entry for this week's Just Magnolia challenge the backing papers are Elusive Images the red/gold strip is from MIC handmade papers pack. The circle is a new digi download from Charmed Cards and comes in a pack with those gorgeous pixie fairies (I will be showing a card of one later) I coloured it in with promarkers then cut it out as I did with Tilda I do hope you like it hugs to all.
