One Stop Crafts Challenge #101

I am hoping that blogger has worked a little magic and posted this on time, I am scheduling my posts at the moment.
Hi all today we have a new challenge for you at One Stop Crafts and this week we would like to see you
ALTER IT
Our sponsor this week is Craft Brulee
This is a new store offering £10 to the winner to spend on some goodies from their site.

I decided to alter an old CD, which I have loads of, and made a wall hanger, shown below.

I used one of my favourite Penny Black stamps, inked with Momento Black Tuxedo and coloured with Copics, I did two images and then cut them out, ready to mount.
I used my circle cutter to cut out the circles the same size as the CD, the papers I have used are Basic Grey.

I then proceeded to create a couple of flower displays I added Diamond stickles around the petals. I then added some flower gems and white pearls then mounted the images with silicone for a 3d effect. I punched the hole with my Crop a Dile and threaded some pink ribbon through.

This is a side view which hopefully shows the 3d effect better. This little beauty is now proudly hung on my wall in the living room so I can see it every day.

I hope this may have given you an idea as to something to alter, but it can be anything, a box, a picture frame but for even more ideas please see the other DTM projects they are top notch.

I hope we see you at OSCC this week with your wonderful projects.
Hugs to all see you later.

8 Oct 2010

Hi

I just felt I needed to write this post to you all.
I have been struggling these last few weeks which some of you may have noticed. I have been unable to visit you as I would like but you are all in my thoughts daily. I have been unable to shake my usual visit of depression and have been and still am close to ending my blogging days.
I have managed to create the necessary work for the DT that I am on and will try to do this for as long as I am able. I feel a bit of a failure at this time and battling this awful emptiness is taking it's toll.

I am praying that this depression will soon end and that I can return to normality so I hope that you will bear with me.
Hugs to you all.

Meljen New Releases

Hi it is time to show you some more new Meljen releases that are now available from
I have used only two of the new images the first is the Star Pumpkin and the second is Scardy Cat but if you want to see more of the new releases in all their glory then please pay a visit to the other DTM.
I received a tutorial of a project from SCS for this 'tote bag' I also saw it on Rita's blog and thought that I must give it ago.
I have used orange card for both bag and card, I stamped the background using a SU stamp and ink pad.

I punched a black border using a MS punch and added to the the top of the bag, I also added some black faux stitching, I then punched a 2" circle from black card to mount the pumpkin on. The pumpkin I printed out four times cut each one out then 3d'd them.
The sentiment is also from Meljen.
With Scardy Cat I used black lace and orange gingham ribbon across the centre I coloured him with promarkers, distressed the circle and highlighted with orange ink for a final touch I added some black card candy.
To see the full range of Meljen images then please pop over to Whimsy Stamps.

Thank you for looking at my project I hope it has inspired you
Hugs to all

Stamping Vacation Colour Combo Challenge

Hi we have a new Colour Combo challenge for you at Stamping Vacation the colours are:
Pumpkin, Sage and Caramel.
To give you a little inspiration I have created the card below using an image from OKR Stampede, this one is in Digi format but they have a huge range of both Digi and Rubber.
This image is called Ragdoll Angel and can be found HERE
I am once again using the old editor as the new one will not even open up, I think there are many having the same problem I just hope it gets sorted soon.

I have coloured the image with promarkers, I had two of the colours but did not have one called sage so had to use the closest hue I could find.

The base paper is Bearlymine, I used my MS punch for the trellis border, I used wide green gingham ribbon for the bow and added a little charm, the butterflies I punched from the same card as the border, I added some gems and used my SU word punch for the taglets to which I also added gems in the same colour theme.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I want to apologise for not being able to visit you all as much as I would like, I think I have lost a little of my verve and mojo, so please bear with me.
I appreciate each and every comment I receive they give me great joy and I hope to be able to visit you all soon.
Big Hugs
Digital Tuesday Challenge #79 DT Card
Hi all today we have a new challenge for you at Digital Tuesday the theme this week has been chosen by Maria and is Ribbons, Buttons and Bows.
Our sponsor this week is Fred She Said and the winner will receive a $20 Gift Certificate
Unfortunately I was unable to upload the pictures of my card due to failure of the new editing programme. I have tried time and time again to no avail, (edited) in the end I had to revert to the old editor, thank goodness it hasn't been phased out yet.
So here is my card
I have used an image from The Stamping Bazaar called Nancy the Hedgehog, I have coloured her with Copics, the shading I did with chalks. I used Basic Grey papers, two different types of ribbon, buttons a couple of which actually sparkle I also added quite a few gems and some bronze Stickles. I wanted to catch an Autumn look which is why I have chosen the colours.
I hope you have enjoyed looking at my card which I am also entering in the following challenges
Please visit the other DTM to see their gorgeous creations
Sending Hugs to all
Here is my card.
I decided to have ago at making a shadow box and I love it, I will be making lots more of these.
I followed a tutorial which you can find HERE, I found it so easy to do.  I have taken several photos at different angles for you to look at.
The image was a freebie from Inger that I got some time ago and thought it was perfect for this challenge.
I coloured the image with promarkers and used the same shape Nestie that I cut the aperture with to mount the image on.  I added a ticket sentiment, charm and some pearls.  The flowers I made myself and added some bronze Stickles.
These last two pictures show a closer look at both the image and flowers.
Well I hope you have enjoyed looking at my project maybe it has inspired you but for more creativity and inspiration then please visit the other DTM's their work is fabulous.
 It would be wonderful to see you join us at Creative Inspirations with your card/project so please pop on over, everyone is welcome.
Hugs to all see you later.
